Responsibilities of Project Manager include:
Understanding the business requirement of the organization
Define appropriate delivery model for customer project as a composition of pre-defined services, on-site and/or remote delivery
Manage all aspects of Project life cycle to facilitate successful delivery to executive team
Oversee Prixgen projects to provide metrics for reporting to executive team on business case ROI.
Provide Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) on selected business processes to assemble input into business case.
Develop and oversee detailed project plans.
Establish detailed project plans and metrics, work plans, schedules, resource plans and status reports.
Identity project risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
Provide project leadership, work direction and feedback.
Motivate work of others outside of direct authority to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
Convey and report status to executives, global business partners and all other key stakeholders.
Present formal presentations and executive summaries to senior management to provide recommendations and status updates.
End to End management and co-ordination of the project and responsible for the successful completion of the project.
Arrange all the facilities to the team who are working on the project, provide training, support and extract the best out of the team.
Design schedule for the project and set timeline for each member of the team and delegate specific task to each members of the project.
Responsible for the timely completion and ERP project manager has the responsibility to complete the project within the stipulated budget.
Predict risk factors and eliminate it for the successful completion of the project.
Frequently reporting about the project to the clients on exactly about the progress of project, if it is laid down in the proposal.
Coaching and Mentoring
- Perform Project Management Reviews and mentor project managers on project management methodology, standards and processes.
- Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables to project team; review quality of work and manage integration of team members work; provide performance input to project team members functional management.
- Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks
Knowledge Management
- Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases; analyze lessons learned and share with the organization s project management community.
- Participate in the development of project management best practices.
Project Manager could be either in-house or External. An in-house consultant works for the organization during execution and after go-live periods, while external consultants are only part of the implementation team. Their responsibility ends when the project s go live. The consultant plays a more significant role than end/power clients in the organization since they are answerable for the execution and system setup based on business necessities, GAP analysis, improving procedures, and searching for new opportunities/items. Turning into Program Manager or Service Delivery Manager is the next big step in a career.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Should have 4-6 years experience in end to end Project Management and should have completed minimum 4 projects deliveries.
- Experience in delivering primed Fixed Price Projects (FPP) or Time and Material (T&M) engagements
- Must be results-oriented.
- Least of 2 years of involvement with a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects.
- Capacity to perform multiple tasks and deal with different expectations and undertakings simultaneously.
