Responsibilities

• Proactively identify performance improvements in areas like responsiveness, availability, and scale
• Manage, evolve and build CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain, support, and build out infrastructure and services currently operating on AWS, GCP, other providers
• Creatively solve technical issues. You do not need to know everything, but you need to know how to find the solution
• Deliver solutions in a complex environment including fixed wireline networking and wireless with distributed systems and applications
• Assist in building world-class, multi-cloud capable, state-of-the-art products by:
  • Automating build processes
  • Incorporating static code quality tools
  • Helping identify code promotion qualities
  • Utilizing and promoting the use of advanced deployment patterns like Canary and Blue/Green
  • Building highly resilient cloud eco-systems capable of high availability and scale
  • Deploying to public cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Developing and maintaining applications that use Docker containers, Kubernetes as an orchestrator, or as full VMs with base images

Qualifications

• • • 3-4+ years of production experience working as a Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
    • Experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP). GCP is preferred
    • Experience working with or building CI/CD pipelines
    • Strong Linux experience
    • Experience with infrastructure provisioning or configuration management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, or similar
    • Experience reading scripts in Bash, Shell, Python, Go or similar languages
    • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
    • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent.
    • Experience working in Agile environments is a plus
    • Experience with a service mesh using Istio, Consul or equivalent is a plus
    • We think the knowledge acquired earning a BE in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field would be of great value in this position, but if you re smart and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent trumps degree every time.
