Description
This individual will be responsible for representing BusinessDevelopment for Generic API as a point of contact forthe region in awide variety of settings (including conferences, trade shows, client visits,presentations, etc.). This individual must be able to coordinate multipleclients' projects simultaneously, while working closely with representativesfrom all departments. Should implement and deliver the sales plan to supportshort-term and long-term growth strategy of the API Generics business
- Articulatea clear vision to the team and set strategic directions, to achieve short-term& long-term goals for the development and commercial business, withappropriate focus on existing and new business
- Provideleadership to BD team and strengthen the culture of performance, innovation andcontinuous learning
- Set,monitor & achieve targets of sales team for the respective site / locationbudget
- Identifysales opportunities and establish relationships with existing customers togenerate future sales, avenues for cross selling and repeat business. Developand implement strategic plans for key accounts in assigned territory
- Contactnew accounts and leverage network to map opportunities
- Prepareand deliver client proposals in collaboration with Program Managers. Negotiateagreements of sale to close accounts and secure long-term agreements
- Interfacewith supply planning/production functions and export logistics/shipping team toensure dispatch as per customer time-lines and liaise with regulatory team tomeet statutory requirements
- Partnerwith R&D and Strategic Marketing teams to identify new products and ensurethat they are developed as per agreedtimelines and costs
- Participatein strategy and annual planningmeetings. Report out on sales performance and funnel. Develop forecast, budgetand track performance
- Retain,expand and strengthen client relationships by ensuring high-quality customerservice and issue resolution

QUALIFICATION:
Bachelors degree in a scientific subject or equivalent experience in a relevant environment. (chemistry, biology etc.), MBA Preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Solid and demonstrable experience of15- 18yearsin the Generics spacehandlinginternationalmarkets. Solid experience in sales for regulated markets.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Solid demonstration of negotiation and sales skills including strategic thinking and key account managementStrong communication skills
