Job Summary Roles and responsibilities : We are seeking a motivated WordPress Intern to join our team for a 6-month internship. This role provides hands-on experience in WordPress development, perfect for candidates with basic knowledge of WordPress and an eagerness to grow in the field. High-performing interns may be offered a full-time position upon completion of the internship. Key Responsibilities Assist in building, updating, and maintaining WordPress websites. Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements. Optimize website performance, load speed, and security. Support content creation, management, and layout adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve basic website issues and bugs. Collaborate with designers and developers to align website features with design specifications. Contribute to team discussions, sharing insights and ideas for improvement. Qualifications and Skills Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Web Development, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of WordPress, including themes, plugins, and basic customizations. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot simple issues and find effective solutions. Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and take guidance from team members. Adaptability: Open to learning new skills and working with various WordPress tools and plugins. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with website builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi. Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL is an advantage. Experience with SEO best practices and optimizing websites for performance. Familiarity with version control tools like Git is a plus.
