Job Summary Overview

Microsoft 365 and 3rd party SaaS solutions help PepsiCo achieve more with innovative workspace tools, intelligent cloud services and world-class security. Today we have 270,000+ Microsoft 365 users who leverage Collaboration Solutions (OneDrive, SharePoint, Power Platform, Office Online Products, Teams etc)

The Microsoft 365 architect will need to have deep understanding of SharePoint/OneDrive and M365 eco-systems. Be analytical and creative thinker to resolve challenges at hand and ones on roadmap, have strong technical skills for scripting and automation to build in-house sustain processes. It will be one of 2 points of contacts covering for Europe/AMESA/Asia time zone. (From main capability center HYD) responsible to design, build, administer, architect Collaboration Solutions services, provide escalation support, and deliver our current and future Microsoft 365 Offerings across our Global landscape. Some of key areas of responsibilities will include Management, administration, Governance, capacity planning, licensing, cost optimization, Upgrades, maintenance, Process automation, monitoring, security revisions, deployments, Permissions, 3rd level support for issues/users and cross functional collaboration with key teams. Act as recovery manager for Microsoft Cloud outages and performing change and problem management activities to ensure the service reliability. Microsoft 365 services include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaboration Services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Forms, PowerApps, Power Automate, Planner, Loop etc.)
  • Office applications Integrations and capability release.
  • Back-Office administration and cross functional collaboration M365 tenant management

Also the Architect will be supportive for non-Microsoft solutions (But approved PepsiCo alternatives) such as:

  • Miro (Whiteboard)
  • Smartsheet
  • com
Responsibilities

M365 Management/Governance:

Accountable define best practices, policies, and governance for M365, this includes permissions to M365 services, API access, Licensing, Security assessments, defining standards, defining processes, process automation etc.

3rd party Saas Solutions Management:

Accountable define best practices, policies and governance for SaaS services, this includes permissions, API access, Licensing, Security assessments, defining standards, defining processes etc.

Reporting:

Accountable to make sure reporting is available to all appropriate stakeholders on a daily and ad hoc basis. (Licensing, usage, storage, availability reports).

Secure Score:

Responsible to work with the teams (security, CTO, email, Azure, etc.) ensuring a great score is achieved in M365 for the company. As well ensuring services are always protected and following best practices.

Service Management:

Accountable to make sure tickets are processed in a timely manner. Both by collaborating with L2 support and handling escalation tickets.

New Release/Change Management:

Being consulted by S&T concerning new releases. Responsible to follow up with Microsoft on product roadmaps. Accountable to raise request to block new functions in case of.

Service Availability:

Responsible to monitor the health and service availability throughout all M365 related products. Responsible to work with Microsoft on service availability concerns and coordinate resolution across multiple teams.

Qualifications

Years of Experience:

  • 10+ years technology experience in IT Operations roles
  • 7+ Years working with Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • 5+ Years of Active Directory/Azure
  • 5+ Years of 2nd/3rd level support
  • 5+ years of managing Vendor Managed Solutions/Services.
  • 5+ Years of Project Management

Technical skills

  • MCSA:Productivity and MCSE:Productivity certifications are a plus.
  • Good knowledge on Cloud based services. (SAAS)
  • Advanced understanding of SharePoint/OneDrive
  • Scripting/Automation (Graph API, Windows PowerShell)
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365 eco-system
  • Working on robust hybrid environments
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, multi domains, multi-forests, DNS infrastructure and topology
  • Good knowledge of computer infrastructure (hardware, databases, Operating Systems, Lan, Wan, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge and experience with PowerShell ISE and other scripting languages, plus automating tasks
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes and standards. Preferably ITIL certified.
  • Advanced understanding of the function desktop/laptop/server and software. Capable of advanced configuration or troubleshooting of endpoints
