Job Description
We are looking for a talented Web Designer to create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design. They should also have superior user interface design skills.
The successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. They will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs.
Primary Duties
- Setting up, testing and deploying emails
- Deploying/modifying site content via CMS
- Photo retouching
- Image and banner resizing
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Proficient With:
- HTML / Hand-Coding HTML skills essential
- Photoshop skills essential
- Illustrator an advantage
- Comfortable working with jQuery and vanilla Javascript, Experience with MYSQL, Experience with Indesign, CSS, Dreamweaver, Wordpress
- Ability to multi-task
- Meet aggressive deadlines
- Work well within a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Experience with CMS a plus
- Experience deploying emails a plus
- Working with an email service provider a plus
- Some experience with Flash, a plus
- Experience with eCommerce platforms a plus (ATG, hybris, Demandware, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a web designer
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologie BS/MS in Computer science, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts subject.
