Integration is one of the most critical pieces in the entire application development lifecycle. We are one of the core integration teams in platform engineering at Pega. Our work is around 2 directions: working on the existing Pega platform as well as building a new backing micro-service in the new platform cloud native runtime. It s a small team, highly focused, and follows agile principles. The team is responsible for end-to-end delivery of the software starting from development to release to the operational side of things.

What You'll Do at Pega:

• Provide technical leadership and vision in designing, implementing, testing, rolling out the next generations of our services.
• Drive and product innovation, technology roadmap and provide long-term vision to teams.
• Be a focal point of technology for product, engineering and teams that are critical to product.
• Be involved and pivotal in the company's transformation to a complete SaaS/PaaS product.
• Take the larger vision or challenge and distill it down with the leadership team into strategies and plans including trade-offs required to realize the vision.
• Be a humble mentor and trusted advisor for both our hardworking team members and passionate leaders alike. Deal with differences in opinion in a mature and fair way, helping teams to contribute and move forward.
• Represent the tribe in the architecture guild level meetings and put forth our opinions and views when taking architectural decisions.

Who You Are:

• A track record of building large-scale, highly available services that solve complex, organizational level business problems.
• Industry leading expertise in one or more technology domains and are the "go-to" person for one or more areas of their business.
• Deep expertise in integration related technologies such as REST and Messaging frameworks.
• Hands on experience in cloud native technologies like Kubernetes, helm, docker, etc.
• Passion for driving continual improvement initiatives on engineering standard methodologies like coding, testing or monitoring.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write detailed technical documents

What You've Accomplished:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer engineering field
• 11+ years of experience preferably in a product development with a minimum of 2 years working experience as a technical architect.
