Mechanical Project Engineers work alongside engineering teams to develop mechanical systems. They are found in a variety of industries where they coordinate teams, design blueprints, develop systems, and carry out quality assurance on all finished projects.

Mechanical Project Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzing project specifications, developing work schedules, and delegating tasks to different teams.

Completing blueprint designs using CAD software and making appropriate adjustments once the client and other engineers have seen them.

Collaborating with other engineers and technical personnel to develop instructional and training manuals where required.

Conducting research on field developments and networking with other engineers and professionals.

Mechanical Project Engineer Requirements / Skills / Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

A suitable masters degree may be advantageous.

Previous project management experience is recommended.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

The ability to motivate staff.

A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime if required.

A relevant license and certification may be required.

Several years of experience working in the engineering field.

Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
