Design Engineer Wiring Harness Job in Outworks Solutions

Job Description

• Experience in OEM vehicle harness development
• Experience in VALVE, Harness Weight and Cost optimization
• Good understanding of a selection of Connectors and Terminals based on the requirement
• Good understanding of design regulations and standards for Indian and international markets
• Knowledge of Harness connectors, Clips and protection
• Understanding of Homologation and safety standards
• Good Understanding of Harness development process
• Good understanding of key milestones in product development

Roles and Responsibilities

• Wiring harness routing in Catia V5/ V6 Electrical Harness workbench.
• Review layouts of wiring harness in DMU and define routing and clamping strategy.
• Electrical Packaging of EE Aggregates in DMU
• Sheet metal/ Plastic support bracket design.
• Implementing the Changes as per ECN.
• Design & Development of Components of Wiring Harness.
• Develop fixing strategy and features aligned to the design guidelines
• Bill-Of-Materials and assembly instructions for the harness
• Generate package feasibility reports
• Interact within the team for an integrated solution to meeting customer quality and timeline expectations
• Participate internal and customer reviews for meeting customer expectations and guidelines
• Prepare justification documents to complement deviations in the design along with alternative proposals to achieve the expectations
