Linux Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Linux Administration:

    • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS) in both cloud and on-premises environments.
    • Optimize system performance, apply security patches, and execute upgrades.
    • Automate system management tasks using Bash, Python, and Ansible Playbooks.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of Linux internals, including kernel tuning, networking, and file systems.
    • Collaborate with DevOps, RM, and development teams to resolve complex system issues.
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for effective troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security measures.
    • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure high system availability.
  • Kubernetes:

    • Deploy custom applications using Helm charts.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, addressing node health, pod failures, and resource constraints.
    • Design, build, and manage Kubernetes clusters from scratch, including YAML manifest and RBAC configuration.
    • Possess a strong understanding of CSI drivers, etcd, ingress, and other cluster dependencies.
    • Experience with deploying, configuring, and monitoring on-premises open-source Kubernetes clusters.
  • Docker:

    • Install and configure Docker, containers/CRI-O, and other runtimes.
    • Create and manage Docker Compose environments.
    • Build, optimize, and secure Docker images.
    • Expose containers using HAProxy.
    • Implement robust security policies for Docker.
  • DevOps (Good to Have):

    • Experience with JFrog Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube, Jenkins, and GitLab.
    • Proficiency in enterprise application upgrades.
    • Collaborate with application teams to create automated deployment pipelines.
    • Expertise in Jenkinsfile and DSL.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant Linux administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux internals and system administration tasks.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker technologies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualification :
Experience in managing and tuning JFrog Artifactory, Xray, SonarQube, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
Experience Required :

Minimum 3 Years
