Primary Responsibilities

  • Application Management: Oversee complex mainframe and distributed applications, leveraging solid healthcare knowledge.
  • Engineering Management: Handle stakeholder management, product design, development, and maintenance.
  • System Design: Understand and document various system perspectives; design and develop the framework, explaining design choices through detailed documentation.
  • Estimation and Validation: Create and validate design documents and effort estimations for modules/tasks, providing justifications for decisions.
  • Architecture Development: Propose architecture designs focusing on extensibility, scalability, security, and overall design quality.
  • Delivery Process Implementation: Implement SSMO delivery processes, including problem management, incident management, change management, and SLA compliance.
  • Review Participation: Participate in design reviews, test case reviews, and production support readiness reviews for new releases.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Drive discussions with stakeholders (business customers, IT partners) to align on business needs.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements effectively.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with business partners to prioritize scheduled maintenance, coordinating across applications as necessary.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present weekly/monthly status reports and daily project updates to US and India team members.
  • Process Implementation: Build and implement project standards and processes across teams.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures and comply with employment contract terms.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 15+ years in software development and product maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in developing mainframe (CICS, COBOL, DB2, JCL) and distributed applications (Java, Kafka, Elastic, AWS, Python).
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the US healthcare domain, particularly in provider services, is desirable.
  • Methodology Proficiency: Solid knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
