OnceHub is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our growing international team. An ideal candidate is someone who is responsible, independent, detailed oriented, passionate about learning new things, and wishes to make an impact. This is a fully remote position that we are hiring for in India.
The Assistant will report to the Director of Finance and assist in implementing and maintaining controls as well as the accounting infrastructure to support the company s rapid growth and expansion. This applies to all areas of the finance department including financial reporting, billing, receivables, payables, general ledger close, and financial modeling (accountancy qualification is required). The role covers all of our geographical areas including Europe, Israel, South Africa, India, New Zealand and the US.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in reviewing and supporting subsidiary financials across the globe.
Basic bookkeeping tasks on QuickBooks and Xero bookkeeping software.
Month-end close processes including bank reconciliations.
Monthly submissions to local tax authorities.
Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls to comply with legislation and establish best practices.
Ensure that detailed accounting documentation and digital filing is compiled.
Assist in payments to suppliers.
Help in aspects of accounting management (collections, tax forms etc.).
Carrying out operational tasks within the finance department.
Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Qualifications and Experience
Undergraduate degree in a finance/economics-related area
Accountancy qualification
Minimum of 3 years experience working within a finance department
Experience with MS Dynamics Business Central /Microsoft NAV ERP systems - advantage
Accurate, with great attention to detail
Ability to work well independently and remotely
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and a team player
Excellent communication skills; service orientation; open minded
Comfortable in fast-paced environments
Highly skilled with MS Office
Prior experience in the high-tech industry - advantage
Employment Details:
Full-time position
Fully remote position, working from home
Working Hours: Some flexibility but standard schedule is Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm
Additional non-standard hours may be required
