Sr. Associate Quality Analyst

Job description

• Work collaboratively with product, business and teams to ensure we are implementing features that meets the products and customer requirements.

• Work as a member of the scrum team including planning, estimating, and verifying data.

• Participate in sprint planning meetings and daily stand-ups and work with teams to mitigate any blockers and adapt to changing needs in a fast-moving environment.

• Design, review and contribute on test cases, test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures. Create relevant test data.Collaborate with stakeholders to plan test schedules, strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

• Reporting, following-up, Bug tracking, impact of change and risks to the team and stakeholder management.

• Design, creation and execution of high-quality reusable manual test cases and scripts.

• Overseeing the drafting of testing documents.

• Creating Quality Assurance reports.

• Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications

• Develops and executes test cycles and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization

• Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality

• Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)

• Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization

• Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes

• Manages testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines

• Develop and maintain reusable automation test framework. Review, maintain & improve current automated software test methodologies and processes.

Job requirements

• At least 2+ yrs quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments

• Familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies

• Experience with web-based application testing (minimum 2+ yr)(Cross browser-Preferable)

• Experience with Mobile application testing

• Experience with integration testing between applications (minimum 2+ yr)

• Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, draws valid conclusions, and provides solutions

• Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues as required

• Thorough working knowledge of software testing methodologies and the testing life cycle

• Should have knowledge in test planning, test preparation, test execution, defect logging and tracking it to its closure.

• Hands on Experience on tools like PostMan and Jmeter

• Should know how to do testing in API testing, UI testing, performance testing.

• Ability to derive testable scenarios and test cases from project requirements.

• Ability to work in an agile environment.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or Java

• Basic Knowledge on SQL

• Basic knowledge of Automation testing w/ Selenium (Preferable)

• High Attention to detail
