Job Summary
Drives the execution and provides input to defined domains and NBS people strategies in the respective country. They partner with the domains to drive the execution through to implementation. Act as a trusted HR business partner on country strategic topics to the N-3 leaders. In a local, cross domain complex environment, the Business Partner will surface and need to leverage best practice across NBS.
Major Accountabilities
Business partnering: Proactively establishes strong working relationship with country business leaders. Be a strong strategic business partner understanding the business, providing outside-in perspective and advice on strategic HR matters. Supports Global HR Business Partner in implementation of NBS and domain plans in respective organizations as per de-fined strategies. Coach & influence business decisions for HR deliverables to meet operational and strategic objectives.
Organizational Development: Ensure local implementation of organizational development activities, cultural agenda in line with NBS / Domain Strategy and drive Change Management
locally. Advise the business on local rules and regulations impacting business operations or business transformation. Advises on actions to continuously develop the organizational de-sign and culture. Run organizational health checks, looking at design principles such as: consistency of role pro-files, compensation, GJFA levels, D&I
Talent Management: Optimize local workforce and talent strategy. Work with managers to identify and develop talents with cross country / cross domain potential and aspirations. Pro-mote and leverage Novartis talent management and talent development processes and tools.
Performance Management: Support managers to drive performance management and facilitate a collaborative and high performance culture.
HR Operating Model: Be the ambassador of the HR operating model. Implements and exe-cutes the HR strategy by establishing and communicating clear objectives and roles. Manages strategic HR processes at high standards. Initiates HR projects related to business requirements, leads major HR initiatives as applicable locally. Works closely with HR community in function to partner and drive consistency in practice and application of HR guidelines, policies and global HR standards.
Networking: Actively contributes ideas & solutions to the global & local HR network as a team player and collaborates closely with internal service functions and external service providers.
Data: Leveraging data & analytics for business insights.
Languages: Minimal: Fluent English (oral and written)
Desirable: Local language (oral and written)
Experience/Professional requirement: University degree or relevant related experience. English 8-12 years of experience in HR generalist/specialist roles. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employ-ees (N-1 and below); cultural sensitivity and extensive business partnering experience. Skilled in working in a complex global matrixed environment. Experience in sup-porting the business in managing change.
