Tech Lead/ Solution Architect (Magento)

Job Description:

• Candidate will primarily work in PHP/MySQL/Magento. Job responsibilities include laying out the architecture / base for Magento based websites.
• Candidate would play a pivotal role in analysis, feasibility assessment and estimation of new work.
• Candidate will be required to create and maintain technical documentation (System Architecture Diagram, HLD, DFD etc.)
• Candidate needs to design/scale system and database schema/architecture.
• Candidate needs to assist and deploy mechanism like cache (with IT team), data migration techniques, automated build release and provide technical specs to development team to use the same in the application that they work upon.
• Candidate needs to deploy backend scaling techniques to handle application load, like database shards, master/slave approach etc. i.e. as per requirement of a project.
• Candidate would be required to create a work break down structure, estimate and share with team to work upon their individual tasks.
• Candidate would be required to lead and guide the developers over their implementations, integrate their works and maintain integrity of application and its architecture.
• Candidate would be required to participate in client calls and visit client locations as per need.
• Candidate needs to create proof of concepts (like integrating a third party API) for the development team to follow.
• Candidate needs to review code of development team.
• Candidate needs to align trainings of development teams on latest and required technology stack.
• Candidate needs to identify and adapt to latest technology upgrades
• Candidate will work in a team environment, as well as independently. He is also required to adhere to development processes (Jira, Bitbucket etc).
• Candidate needs to keep the coding standards updated

Key Skills/Abilities

• Good knowledge of PHP and MySQL
• Vast Experience in Magento based eCommerce Websites (using Community and Commerce Cloud edition)
• Good knowledge of OOPs + Should have worked on MVC architecture. Should know implementation of REST/SOAP based API and third party integration techniques.
• Knowledge of Cloud (Amazon etc.) based solutions (using load balancers and active/passive master/slave database techniques).
• Knowledge of Query and Code profiling tools and optimization techniques
• Magento Commerce Architect certification Adobe Certified Master - Magento Commerce Architect (AD0-E704)
• Knowledge of automated build deployment systems like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of JQUERY, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap
• Exposure/understanding of Angluar JS, Node JS is good to have
• Exposure to other frameworks like CakePHP, Drupal is good to have
• Exposure to working with other technologies/API(s)/cross platform applications (integrating with Magento with other ERP/SAP systems, mobile applications etc.)
• Knowledge of implementing payment gateways like PayPal, Authorize, PayU etc.
• Worked with Agile development methodology
• Worked with version control system like Bitbucket, GIT, SVN.
• Good communication skills (must have)
