Job Summary If you are a Linux guru, passionate about the management and optimization of web servers using the latest technology and trends. In addition to being technically savvy, you re an expert of system performance and have great troubleshooting skills. You re also cool under pressure and are able to quickly and effectively intervene to resolve system outages. Responsibilities: Someone who can manage the entire team. Monitor critical and client infrastructure Handle incidents in real-time and respond to them, including their documentation Diagnose and resolve performance issues, including: load speed (network, CPU, memory, I/O) database performance tuning email delivery & reputation management Identify and resolve security incidents, including abuse, blacklisting, malware and phishing Monitor backups Participate in the Dedicated and Cloud servers activation and cancellation process, including for custom VIP systems Provide coaching and support to L2 Support team Handle L3 ticket escalations Diagnose and troubleshoot complex migrations Participate in the systems standardization and documentation efforts Escalate complex issues and coordinate responses with the DevOps team Required Skills & Experience : 3+ years of experience as a LAMP System Administrator (Apache or nginx) including handling email reputation issues Experience with cPanel/WHM control panel (Plesk an asset) Experience with Bash or similar command-line scripting languages Good communicator in French or English; capable of clearly communicating complex concepts to a non-technical audience Excellent understanding of email protocols (POP/IMAP/SMTP) Experience with virtualization technologies such as OpenVZ, KVM, Xen, VMWare, or OpenStack. Good understanding of web concepts such as DNS and IPv4/6 Experience managing and optimizing database systems such as MySQL and MariaDB Working knowledge of common website scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, or Python Windows Server management experience an asset cPanel and Redhat/LPIC certifications an asset
