Narayana Health is in the process of setting up a strategic team tasked with moving healthcare closer to patients. The initiative involves setting up primary and secondary care services which are easily accessible to patients and are supported by hyper-responsive processes built keeping patient needs and their satisfaction at the centre of focus. Job Purpose:
The role involves identifying, conceptualizing, planning, and setting up the operational processes for reaching out to patients proactively and addressing their healthcare needs. The operations manager is expected to understand business requirements, prioritize, and work with cross-functional teams including supply chain, clinic and hospital operations teams, marketing & branding and legal / regulatory teams to evolve innovative and customer-oriented processes and handhold execution on the ground till operational stability is achieved.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Planning, ideation & conceptualizationa. Understand the overall business goals and breakdown and map the goals into actionable processes and activities
b. Evolve an execution framework for the identified actionable items and create systematic processes for achieving the desired outcomes
c. Work with cross-functional teams to fine-tune and create a realistic execution plan
2. Execution
a. Oversee work with the on-ground execution teams to execute the developed processes
b. Identify gaps and the practical challenges and create innovative solutions for addressing the issues at hand
c. Establish KPIs and evolve monitoring mechanisms for tracking efficiency and outcomes
d. Identify and address issues that challenge scalability and build in sustainable solutions to ensure scalability
e. Budget for the requisite resources and articulate them clearly for a seamless execution
f. Monitor and ensure execution within the planned budget and timelines
3. Audit and monitoring
a. Own the processes end to end and set up effective review mechanisms
b. Analyze data from KPIs and implement process improvements as necessary for improving efficiency
c. Identify trends and assess opportunities for improvement
d. Critically analyze for gaps from an audit control perspective and implement solutions to address them
4. Collaborative working
a. Promote and participate in constructive team-based working
b. Highlight and track issues, facilitate removal of barriers, resolve issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalate as required
c. Solicit regular feedback from internal and external stakeholders, own improvement and build acceptance and support within the system
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience:
MBA with 4-5 years of experience in operations management, product management or a process improvement role
Knowledge of healthcare operations and / or having worked in a healthcare / wellness start-up is a plus
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Should be able to analyze data and come up with data driven decision points
- Demonstrate a strong structured approach to ideation and problem solving
- Exhibit a strong track record for establishing & executing systems and processes
- Be able to think strategically and continually keep abreast of operational requirements
- Exhibit ability to think out of the box for finding solutions within constraints / boundaries and in uncertain conditions
- Demonstrate good decision-making skills and ability to deliver as per committed timelines
