Job Summary

We are looking for a game art specialist / designer with a passion for developing high quality game art, a flair for visual storytelling, and an understanding of the development process, the gaming industry, market and target audiences.

As a game art designer you will be expected to work with teams of programmers, game designers, animators, sound engineers and project managers. Your responsibilities also include developing mood boards, look and feel of games (including the interface, characters, background etc).

To be a successful game artist specialist at MPSi, you should have no problems with working long hours under pressure, a yearning for making high quality games that are original and ground-breaking, and a love for the process. Ideal candidates will have experience in game art development, knowledge of variety of tool and techniques of developing game art on a PC. Great communication and collaboration skills will be plus points.

Game Designer Responsibilities:

  • Creating innovative games for training and education purposes.
  • Conceptualizing and developing characters, environments and backgrounds
  • Creating visual assets required to develop games (example concept sketches, mock-up, actual assets used in the game).
  • Working with multi-functional teams.
  • Training and mentoring colleagues in game art.
  • Doing quality control.

Game Designer Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in art / design.
  • Strong knowledge of development tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Animate CC, Illustrator and other similar tools used for game art development.
  • Freehand sketching skills strongly desired for the position.
  • Previous experience in game art development would be essential.
  • Previous experience in an e-learning company will be an advantage (but not an essential requirement).
  • Enthusiasm and knowledge of the industry, devices and new trends in gaming industry.
  • Portfolio of sample projects.
