Technical Consultant - Data Migration Job in Mitratech

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for Data Migrations from client s legacy systems to Mitratech s products on Oracle and/or SQL Server database platform.
• Work on back-end of application and responsible for technical/requirement review, scripting, development, and unit testing effort.
• Responsible for building integrations between Mitratech product and third party systems.
• Translates functional specifications into technical specifications to be used by Developers (onshore or offshore).
• Works with Business Analysts and Project Managers to address technical gaps in the functional specifications.
• Participates in customization design sessions with the Technical Services Manager. Meets regularly with the project team to get periodic task updates.
• Ensures internal systems, plans and documentation are updated and maintained. When required, assist with in-house testing, training and administration.
• Works independently with Clients to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for onsite or remote investigation and diagnostics.
• Responsible for Mitratech product s version upgrades either onsite or remotely.
• Any other tasks that from time to time may be assigned to the role.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in IT industry focused on scripting, development, installation and modification in Web Application. (required)
• 3+ years of extensive hands-on experience with database development, scripting on Oracle and SQL Server including database structure, complex procedure, window functions, dynamic SQL and SQL tuning. (required)
• 2+ years of extensive hands-on experience on Administering Oracle (version 10g, 11g/12c) and SQL Server (version 2012/2014/2016) databases including export/import, logging, archiving (required).
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent technical discipline (required).
• Strong hands-on experience Data Warehouse schema and ETL tool like Pentaho or SSIS etc. (required)
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in object oriented programming Java and J2EE (Spring, Hibernate) technologies.
• Basic knowledge and hands-on experience of HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, Web Services (SOAP and RESTful) and Services-Orientated Architectures.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Reporting (preferably Business Objects, Crystal Reports or Sisense) is a plus.
• Knowledge on Administering Oracle (version 10g, 11g/12c) and SQL Server (version 2012/2014/2016) database encryption is a plus.
• Knowledge of WebLogic (11g or 12c) or WebSphere (7.0/8.5) application server is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Visio or Microsoft Project.
