Technical Consultant - Business Intelligence / Reporting Job in Mitratech

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• 75% or more billable client work
• Translates report requirements created by the Services Team into efficient data retrieval strategies (SQL queries, stored procedures) to be used by Report Developers (onshore or offshore).
• Participates in report requirement design sessions with clients and internal Professional Service teams. Meets regularly to get periodic task updates and clarify questions
• Analyzes client data structures and creates plans to convert data from proprietary and legacy systems into TeamConnect (ETL)
• Works with Clients to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems specifically to business intelligence and data retrieval questions.
• Create and present designs, solutions, and demos to audiences including the Leadership team.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of Database skills in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server (required)
• 3+ years of Proficiency with relational databases, transactional schemas and star schemas
• Good knowledge with Oracle PL/SQL and MSSQL (T-SQL) queries
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with the ability to work both within a team and independently (required)
• Undergraduate degree in related discipline (required; Engineering/CS degree preferred)
• Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, clients and prospects
• Ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
• Ability to handle confidential client and company information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project
• Flexibility to accept out-of-town travel assignments of varying duration

Required Skills:

• Familiarity in architecting, designing and implementing Business Objects tools; designing and developing business analytics reporting solutions using Business Objects
• Experience with various ETL tools such as Pentaho or Informatica
• Expertise in installing, configuring, deployment and maintenance of SAP Business objects applications using Desktop Intelligence, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports and Spotfire Tipco
• Experience with database performance tuning
• Basic JAVA skills to adjust and modify existing code
• Knowledge of Visio or Project and HTML
• Knowledge of database client software (i.e. TOAD, SQL+, SQL Developer)
