Overall Experience

10+ years of IT experience and minimum of 3+ years of experience on Oracle cloud database version (11g, 12.1, 12.2, 18c) administration. Should have handled the team size of above 10 members, technically guided, managed and governed the team. Willing to provide 24x7 support and flexible to work in the shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning for Production Storage and Capacity Management.
• Create logical models and build physical models.
• Installing and Managing Oracle 11g to 19c including RAC databases.
• Configuring and Administering Oracle 11g to 19c Automatic Storage Management(ASM).
• Cloning development databases from PROD using RMAN and BCVs.
• Managing Database Performance using (Statspack, TKPROF, AWR, ADDM).
• Implementation and Administration of Oracle Data guard.
• Planning for Production Storage and Capacity Management.
• Hands on experience on OS (HP/AIX/Linux/Sun OS/Windows etc) and OS issues monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Infrastructure Specialist in Oracle 11g to 19c database server.
• Creating databases from the ground up.
• Design, implement and operate database systems for performance and reliability.
• Administer production and development databases, ensuring maximum availability.
• Installation and configuration of Oracle 11g to 19c on Unix platforms including Solaris, AIX & RH Linux.
• Upgrade of Oracle Database from 11g to 19c.
• Patching Oracle Database patches.
• Extensive working knowledge of utilities like Data Pump, Export / Import, SQL Loader, dbv, nid.
• Demonstrable experience of working effectively with Clients, Internal teams to resolve issues.
• Good knowledge in UNIX and shell scripting.
• Able to handle all Oracle Database DBA related daily maintenance tasks.
• Good exposure in Database and SQL Performance Tuning.
• Configuration and maintenance of RMAN backups.
• Installing and Creating 10g and 11g databases according to OFA model.
• Experience in Database/SQL Performance Tuning.
• Experience in Database Migration/upgrade from Oracle 11g to 19c and troubleshooting post upgrade issues.
• Configuring and Scheduling RMAN Backups.
• Applying Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU Patches) and one-off patches.
• Trouble shooting and resolving database issues.
• Database Backup & recovery hands on experience using RMAN.
• Conforming to client compliances and expectations.
• This role may entail after-hours support on an on-call basis.

Required Technical Skills

• Oracle Cloud Administration: Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting & High Availability for Oracle version 11g to 19c on Oracle Cloud.
• Performance Optimization: Choosing a Data Compression Format, backup compression, Memory & IO tuning, database query optimization.
• Security setup: Enabling & Configuring SSL Certificate Authentication to encrypt data transfer.
• HA & DR: High Availability configuration including RAC and Active Data Guard.
• Minimum 8+ years data/ database administration experience in any PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, NoSQL (Cassandra, etc). Out of which minimum of three years experience in Oracle Database Admin on Oracle cloud.
• IaaS setup on any cloud (including network/firewall/port/security).
