Job Summary

Responsibilities and Scope Impact / Scope

  • Collaborate with Finance Business Team and IT to drive high quality service delivery through technical and operational Reporting support for finance accounting systems and applications
  • Timely resolution of system issues and regular quality checks on finance and accounting reports
  • Leadto partner with Finance on Report and Data optimisation & standardisation initiatives, work together to implement application and system excellence and ensure initiatives are met on time and within budget
  • Lead and Support coordination with other functions (including leadership), especially FP&A teams and senior management.
  • Build and manage a high performing team focusing on BI, Master Data and Operational Reporting by providing leadership, vision and career development
  • Manage headcount planning, budget and cost allocations for Finance Systems Support Reporting & Analytics Team
  • Manage senior leadership & stakeholder expectations by liaising with management from process delivery teams, business and other corporate functions

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading a Finance Systems Support Reporting and Analytics team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of processes with robust control and compliance mechanisms in place
    • Liaise with Finance and Information Technology to provide reporting and data support for finance and accounting systems, including master data support, BI Management and Base Layer, Operational Reporting, period close support, system stabilisation support and more as and when required by the process delivery teams
    • Own the team which manages the BI Space and Masterdata as well as Operational Reporting out of Netsuite and Boundary Applications, co-ordinate with various teams to drive issue resolution during the close process
    • Ensure system issues raised by delivery teams are resolved in a timely manner. (Tableau, MDM, NetSuite and more as required)
    • Manage the support for process delivery teams with complex reporting / Data analytics and BI solution customisations / requirements using the company Corporate Framework as a date model point
    • Manage the Collection and approval of business data requirements for additions to the data model or data reporting, working with the CDO delivery team to align on expectations and deliverables.
      • Includes data modelling and process optimization to suit the business requirements
      • Stakeholder management in terms of expectations and delivery
  • Engaging with CDO on technical architecture and support model
    • Application Build, configuration and design support especially during the financial year rollover period when new data sets and tables are required; archived data sets are stored; new financial meta data is applied to ensure year-on-year comparatives
    • Review of capacity management and performance
    • Engagement on integrations supporting the data flow between reporting layers
    • Ensure high risk / critical items are tracked and reported in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain Finance System Support Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as a Service Orientated team and maintain a high benchmark of achievement
  • Managing the team to support the Service Delivery Portal for all new reporting requests, working closely with the leads to ensure all relevant approvals have been obtained
    • Requesting approvals for create, update and suspend request
    • Manage ticket closures and stakeholder management
  • Ensure Informatica system provides accurate, reliable and on-time financial Data Mappings ensuring that all reporting applications (reliant on this data) can be completed throughout the month end close and any data queries are resolved in a timely manner, ensuring business communications throughout
  • Manage and lead a team to perform data validations on Finance Master Data across applications to ensure consistency of data attributes throughout the Author, Master and Subscriber Application matrix
  • Manage and support transition of additional roles in a Captive SSC, as and when required
  • Proactively lead to identify efficiency and automation opportunities across processes and systems, ensuring the systems are fully utilised, and engage in the design
  • Lead and manage system improvement initiatives partnering with Finance Operations
  • Recommend action plans for initiatives identified and track progress
  • Partner with process owners to drive improvements
  • Employ six sigma/lean methodologies in processes
  • Manage a team of individual contributors supporting Reporting & Analytics applications
  • Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
  • Ensure that the proper resources (workflow tools, applications etc.) are in place to support the processes
  • Responsible for the team headcount planning, budget and cost allocations
  • Liaison with senior leadership & stakeholders and manage their expectations through effective communication and process delivery
  • Engage and motivate employees, by providing growth opportunities and creating a transparent and healthy working environment

Required Skills and Experience Education and Experience

  • Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage (CA, CPA, ACCA)
    • 12+ years experience
  • Non-qualified accountants with relevant matching experience may also please apply
    • 15+ years experience
  • Typically, 4+ years of supervisory and/or leading a project team experience
  • Experience of managing in Reporting & Analytics System related teams
  • Direct relevant experience of working in a Captive SSC / Business Process Outsourcing Organisations will be desired (in addition to years of experience/qualification)

Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

  • Expertise on finance processes (Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Quote to Cash, etc.) and finance & accounting systems (Netsuite/Tableau/Anaplan/Onestream tools)
  • Flexibility to support different time-zones and geographies
  • Flexibility to travel across geographies
  • Extensive experience of managing senior offshore and onshore customers through daily/hourly interactions
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly articulate expectations and outcomes with various levels of management, both in Finance and Business
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
  • Team management skills & direct people management experience

Other:

  • Experience and certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Ability to liaise and connect with finance teams/business teams & effectively navigate within a matrix organisation to deliver desired outcomes
  • Experience in the service management of business operations, including process design, measurement and improvements
