Senior Member Technical Staff - Interaction Designer (ux) Job in Metricstream Inc

Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Interaction Designer will be responsible for crafting meaningful and valued product interactions for our Enterprise Products, centered on a working knowledge of our user base and use cases.
• Deliver world-class user interaction designs, from concept through to launch; for a variety of devices and platforms including web browsers and mobile devices
• Work in partnership with product management, visual design, and engineering teams to deliver the desired experience on time and within budget, meeting product business requirements
• Produce designs deliverables to help the entire product team understand desired customer experience with storyboards, flows, wireframes and/or high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring user centeredness and usability
• Articulate and substantiate design decisions using data as a rationale, influencing senior-level product managers, design leadership, and engineering leadership towards adopting the best solutions
• Manage usability testing activities using prototypes to quickly collect and decipher feedback, for rapid iteration of design solutions, to prioritize design centered improvements
• Collaborate with product development teams for validating design flows and hand-offs, ensuring product excellence throughout the development and implementation process
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating a range of deliverables developed demonstrating design process, research and visual design deliverables
• In this role you will work closely with Product Management to translate requirements and articulate design solutions as prototypes of varying fidelity; for interfaces and interactions that serve key use cases defining our products.
• Interaction Designer is also responsible for validation and iteration of design solutions with Product Management, in close partnership with Engineering teams to ensure fitment, feasibility and final delivery of the products.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in human-computer interaction, usability and interaction design in UX-related roles (such as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect)
• A passionate advocate of user-centered design with expert understanding of information architecture, user interface design, and visual design sensibility
• At home with complex problem solving and have a proven ability to bring calm, order and elegance to complex experiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to articulate your work to all stakeholders clearly and constructively
• Ability to create high-fidelity interactive visualizations and prototypes incorporating usability heuristics, accessibility (WCAG, Sec. 508) and interaction design best practices
• Proficiency in producing design deliverables and precise documentation, using popular design tools (such as Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision)
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize individual tasks to best meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of front-end technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript) that enables you to understand the opportunities and constraints of web and mobile platforms
• Demonstrated history of acquiring user data by conducting user study and research is a big plus
• Experience designing and delivering experiences for complex workflows in Enterprise Applications (B2B) is considered a key requirement
• 4-6 Years Experience

Education

• Bachelors or Master s in Computer Science or related disciplines
• A bachelor's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related UX degree is ideal
