About the Position

Reports to the Product Manager, SaaS Technologies and Operations (STO). Maropost is looking for a talented individual to join our STO team. Your mission is to make sure our technology platform maintains industry-leading high performance, high availability, and high security. This is an extremely technical role, and only candidates with proven experience maintaining enterprise cloud-based IT infrastructures will qualify.

Your Opportunity

• Translate your previous experience as an IT Infrastructure / DevOps / Network / Database Engineer into a leadership role, guiding the on-time delivery of backend technology projects.
• Participate in creating and maintaining an IT infrastructure that supports Maroposts entire product portfolio.
• Work hand in hand with highly technical experts in their fields.
• Decompose epics into user stories ensuring that highly technical requirements relating to the IT infrastructure are included and incorporated into each iteration.
• Develop user story acceptance criteria, this includes validation that the story has the appropriate persistent acceptance tests, and that it otherwise meets our Definition of Done
• Actively monitor progress in each sprint cycle, helping resolve blockers, and ensuring that developers are following the steps defined in Maroposts Software Development Lifecycle process.

What you bring to the role

• A prior work experience as a member of an IT Infrastructure Team in an enterprise SaaS company.
• A solid understanding of the tools and products commonly used for network infrastructure, data storage, and web services.
• Foundational understanding of IP Networking routers, switches, firewalls, proxy servers
• Working knowledge of web technologies HTTP, SSL/TLS, REST, GraphQL
• Understanding of CI/CD tools for automated software deployment Jenkins, Travis CI, GoCD, Spinnaker
• Understanding of database administration -- MySQL, Couchbase, Cassandra
• Working knowledge of cloud hosting platforms Google Cloud Platform, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure
• Exceptional ability to translate abstract concepts into concrete procedural instructions.
• Superior attention to detail; comfortable living at a level of high granular detail that most others dont.
• Adeptness to easily transition to The Big Picture with the ability to clearly see how even the smallest infrastructure change has a cascading down-stream effect.
• Previous experience documenting technical requirements as a Business Analyst / Product Owner / Product Manager.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a software/tech development environment (Experience in a tech startup preferred.)
• A degree in business, computer science, engineering or equivalentexperience.
• High-level of competency required in effectively eliciting and documenting product requirements.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think rationally and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to deliver on objectives as demonstrated in Iteration reviews/demos.
