Technical Architect Job in Makepositive Ltd

• A Salesforce Technical Architect at makepositive is responsible for technical plans, technical user story estimation, high level and detailed designs, assisting with development using a best practice agile methodology on client projects.
• A Technical Architect can expect to work on few projects at once and needs to be comfortable managing their own workload and setting their availability for non-commercial activities.
• Our Architects are thought leaders and skills champions in makepositive who also undertake R&D, prototyping, get involved with pre-sales and are expected to actively participate in the Salesforce.com community.
• In addition, the Technical Architect supports the head of the TA community and liaises closely with other managers both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate these into technical solutions based on the chosen Salesforce Lightning platform cloud and/ or product.
• Design and, when needed, create the underlying data structure and data flows to support the technical application
• Design secure high quality web and mobile applications on the Salesforce platform using Lightning, Apex and other available Javascript frameworks and libraries following generic and our specific best practices and design patterns
• Design and build multi-application integrations either natively or using platforms like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Talend, etc.
• Provide appropriate development specifications and support our Technical Consultants and fellow Architects in delivering solutions
• Review the technical solution including code/ pull requests prior to these being deployed beyond the development environment and finally before being deployed to production
• Understand our core service and solution propositions and be able to identify the most appropriate proposition(s) to suit a customer s requirements
• Take ownership for one or more vertical markets to research, scope, implement and deliver demonstrations
• Identify potential new accelerators and revisions to our existing accelerators portfolio and technical asset library
• Provide Pre-sales support for one or more vertical markets to undertake project discovery, capture requirements, identify risks, document assumptions, deliver architecture designs, estimate effort and author a scope of work for proposals
• Review Sales Proposals for your pre-sales engagements to validate the accuracy, scope and effort
• Provide Technical Governance when requested to review project estimates, project scope, planning and participate in Project Technical Governance to enforce our Technical Ways of Working

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience in using the agile delivery methodology in addition to the standard software development lifecycle
• Strong presentation and documentation skills with an ability to produce customer-facing deliverables
• Experience working with the following types of enterprise applications: CRM, CMS, ERP, CPQ, Portals, SSO, e-Commerce, API/ ESB/ SOA
• Expert-level Lightning, Apex, and SOQL knowledge
• Experience in building API-centric applications (RESTful based) and using Web Service (SOAP based)
• Knowledge of Integration Design Patterns such as PubSub, FireAndForget, Sync and Asynchronous
• Excellent knowledge of Salesforce APIs and hands-on experience building integration with cloud platforms such as Netsuite, SAP, Workday
• Experience in implementing integrations using platforms such as Dell Boomi or MuleSoft
• Solid programming abilities in one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, Python, Ruby or JavaScript
• Expertise in data architecture, data modeling and data migration
• Good knowledge on DevOps - source control, release/ build Management and automation
• Experience reviewing and documenting code
• Willingness to travel
• Strong problem-solving skills, should be able to research and understand an undocumented setup and application
• Demonstrated experience of unit, integration and end to end system testing and performance tuning of application & documenting the same
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong mentorship skills and experience
