Job descriptions:

• Plan & organize scientific experiments.
• Synthesize new compounds efficiently using literature or in-house notebook procedures and purified using flash chromatography.
• Optimize existing methods or contribute to new method development.
• Document experiments in an electronic lab notebook.
• Perform literature search for experimentation, and finding suitable reagents, and methods.
• Communicate experimental outcomes and provide daily and weekly updates to the reporting manager on the status of the work plan and actively participate in project teams/meetings.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain the lab in a clean manner.
• Ability to hire and manage less experienced chemists.
• Identification of problems during the execution of the projects and finding alternatives.
• Providing quotes to clients and delivering within the budget.
• Ability to manage organic chemistry research and a team of 2-3 chemists
