JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Networks Engineer, you will be focused on maintaining and enhancing the Monitoring capabilities of the Networks team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring monitoring system for networks is maintained and enhanced as per requirement. You will require to ensure all relative components are monitored and alerting is set at a level to pro-actively identify issues. You will also be a key bridge and work with business to setup alerting as per business requirements and setting up of dashboards that can help identify performance gaps.
Must have skills for the roles
- solid understanding of SolarWinds including configuration, Setting up of dashboards, Upgrades.
- Knowledge of any other monitoring tool apart from SolarWinds will be handy (Preferred if the other tool is also a network monitoring tool)
- Knowledge of SQL will be required to write scripts for SolarWinds
- Broader vision and customer centric approach.
- Experience in designing and implementing either monitoring solutions or reporting engines.
- Flexibility to work on any monitoring tool
- Self-driven with good communication skills
- Dual role of hands on as well as leadership role
Nice to Have Skills
- Network knowledge
- Coding experience on either Java or Python
- Experience in implementing network monitoring solution in other organisations.
- Experience of working with business to devise solutions.
