  • We are looking for a Data Engineer with passion for video games to join us and to work on data generated by our games. As a Game Data Analyst, you will have the chance to work on some cool titles which have generated large amounts of real world data. Additionally, you get to update the data and the way the game sends data with industry best practices, new ideas, and live operations. In collaboration with both internal and external partners, you will be a core contributor working on game features from beginning to end in a critical data driven role. In a small and close-knit team, at times, many hats may need to be worn and the ideal candidate should feel comfortable with that. The candidate will bring strong technical expertise and will be supported by highly skilled colleagues deeply rooted in the games industry.

    • Work with a wide variety of data sources to develop a deep and broad understanding of our games and players.
    • Analyze data quality and ensure that data can be used to provide actionable recommendations to optimize player enjoyment, engagement, and overall efficiencies in all areas of gameplay and player life cycle.
    • Design, develop and maintain data pipelines based on specific business requirements, using data from game servers, web analytics tools, research surveys and financial databases.
    • Provide support for Analytics, Game design, development, testing and operations, including player journey and engagement, gameplay balance, player retention and monetization.
    • Work with Product Managers, Producers and game designers on data requirements and QA.
    • Identify process improvements where needed and work with the team to drive the implementation of the process improvements.

  • candidate profile
    • Bachelor s level or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data, Math or Physics or similar area.
    • 2+ years experience of working in a Data Engineer position.
    • Proficient in at least one modern programming language: Python (preferred), Node.js, Golang, etc.
    • Experience with relational, NoSQL databases.
    • Experience with Big Data focused AWS or GCP cloud services.
    • Experience with building, maintaining ETL pipelines.
    • Problem solving and multi-tasking ability in a globally distributed environment.
    • Experience with ETL, Data Warehouses and Data Pipeline projects.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and other query languages.
    • Proactively identify issues with product or processes and collaborate with team to solve them.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
    • Passion for games and the entertainment industry.
    Plusses:
    • Internal motivation to explore problems and has an ability to find unique ways to solve them.
    • Statistics experience is a plus.
    • Experience working with Splunk.
