Senior Frontend Architect Job in Locus

Responsibilities/Expectations:-

• Senior Frontend Architect is supposed to provide technical guidance to the team. You will be approached by junior engineers on questions for the right choice of framework/design patterns in their implementation.

• You would be involved in high-level design of features from scratch. You are expected to provide technical guidance to ensure the engineering standards in the design/code are maintained decently.

• You would be required to write code in the initial days so that you get/understand the domain knowledge & have enough 'context' (that is how folks in Locus talk about domain knowledge). But over time, you would require to see through the development (both architecture & implementation) by doing thorough code reviews & driving the design discussions.

• You would be working closely with both individual engineers as well as product managers.

• This is NOT a people manager role. This role is inclined towards tech than managing people. You are required to provide the right tech guidance to the frontend team but they will not be directly reporting to you, neither will this role require you to do their performance evaluation.
• Decision alignment with stakeholders is an absolute must. While we understand that as a senior person you will have your own ways of thinking, it is important that you spend enough time with stakeholders to understand & align yourself to the decision making that happens at Locus. You would be taking important tech decisions & that need to be aligned with how things happen at Locus.

Eligibility:-

• Prior hardcore Frontend development experience of 8 to 12 yrs. Please note, we do not consider full-stack profiles for this role. Having breath in your profile outside technology like running scrum, people management, interfacing with client/revenue org to take requirements etc - are good to have but will NOT be considered as plus for this role. Experience in Architecture.

• Prior experience in large-scaled tier-1 product based company is a must.

• Prior & deep experience with React framework is a huge plus but not mandatory.

• Knowledge of a frontend MVC framework like React, Vue, Angular, Ember etc is mandatory.

• Energetic, driven, self-starter with high levels of initiative. Thrive in a start-up, fast-paced, competitive environment.

• Active participation in company activities like Recruitment, Knowledge Collaboration, all hands etc...

• Guide/mentor/handle the team/junior devs.
