Position: Sheet Metal Technician 80T Punch Press

Purpose of the Role

• Complete **shift-wise production targets** efficiently.
• Maintain **machine performance, utilization, and uptime**.
• Achieve **100% quality** for all manufactured parts.
• Implement and follow **Total Quality Management (TQM)** initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Ensure all materials and resources are ready for manufacturing.
• Operate machines efficiently to meet production targets.
• Observe, identify, and report **abnormalities** through supervisors.
• Ensure **first-part self-inspection** and approval before QA submission.
• Record process details accurately in machine log registers.
• Ensure finished products match router quantity and quality requirements.
• Stack each finished part correctly in zip-lock covers or bins.
• Achieve **machine utilization of over 90%** consistently.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Maintain machines in **proper working condition**, including lubrication.
• Arrange and set up material handling equipment and machinery.
• Ensure measuring instruments are in **good condition and calibrated**.
• Allocate work to employees during machine breakdowns or idle time.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Study drawings, customer specifications, and tools to understand requirements.
• Develop and **improve manufacturing processes** based on product requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to **TQM initiatives and quality standards**.
• Support process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a **safe and clean workplace** at all times.
• Follow all **safety rules, regulations, and company policies**.
