Job Summary
**Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer (Semiconductor Industry)**
We are looking for a highly skilled **Mechanical Design Engineer** to join our team, focused on designing high-precision components and systems for the semiconductor industry. The role demands extreme attention to detail, as even the smallest error in part selection, design, modeling, or calculation can lead to significant issues during manufacturing.
### Key Responsibilities:
- **End-to-End Design Execution**: Handle the complete design process, from conceptualization to final product realization. This includes mechanical systems, components, and special-purpose machinery specific to semiconductor tools.
- **Component Design and Detailing**: Design, model, and create detailed drawings for components with high precision. A deep understanding of how each component fits within the system is crucial.
- **Critical Design Reviews**: Ensure all designs are reviewed thoroughly to catch any possible errors. Every minute detail must be accounted for, as small mistakes can have severe consequences in semiconductor manufacturing.
- **Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration**: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance, to ensure flawless execution from design to production.
- **Documentation and Presentation**: Prepare detailed presentations to explain your project from end to end. You should be able to articulate each step in the design process, covering all the intricate details, calculations, and decisions made.
- **Precision in Problem Solving**: Identify potential issues in design and resolve them before manufacturing begins, ensuring that all parts meet the required specifications and functionality for semiconductor tools.
- **Project Ownership**: Whether you've worked on a full system or a single component, you must have the capability to explain the entire project workflow. This includes the rationale behind design choices, material selection, and the integration of parts within the larger system.
### Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in **Mechanical Engineering** or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in **mechanical design**, with a focus on high-precision equipment, preferably in the **semiconductor** or **special-purpose machinery** industries.
- Proficiency in **CAD software** (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX) and FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of **manufacturing processes**, **material science**, and **tolerancing**.
- Ability to explain designs with high clarity, including justifying the design decisions, calculations, and detailed breakdown of every step.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex projects in a simple and understandable manner.
### What We Expect:
- You should be able to explain your project in extreme detail, accounting for every aspect of the design, including part selection, drawing accuracy, and calculation methodologies.
- **Presentation Skills**: As part of the interview process, you will be required to prepare a presentation explaining your project end to end, where we will assess your ability to explain every minute detail efficiently.
Qualification : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
