Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Desired Candidate will be a part of the Product Engineering team with the primary responsibility of implementing and maintaining various components and features of the kPoint platform.
  • Will write effective unit tests following standard practices, ensuring adequate code coverage.
  • Will understand the user requirement in the context of a specific customer use case, raise early red flags related to technical viability, and ensure completeness of the technical requirement to fulfill the requirement.
  • Will work tightly with the buddy QA engineer to ensure the impact to the product effectively analyzed and all aspects of the features are tested.
  • As a part of the core engineering team, will work with the QA and DevOps team hands-on to automate testing & deployment, help set up monitoring and traceability, and troubleshoot issues in environments at various stages of deployment including the production deployment.
  • Will work closely with business analyst/Product Owner to translate user stories into test cases/automation scenarios.

Desired Skill Set

  • Experience of working on BigData and Analytics
  • Experience in developing enterprise or consumer web applications
  • Understanding of Agile practices like TDD, BDD, ATDD, and various Refactoring techniques.
  • Experience in working with Linux-based Environments.
  • Experience in working with web services and REST Services.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Python, Ruby, Shell.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Debugging skills.
