Job Profile

Jr. Automation Test Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements & functional specifications
• Create test cases, test scenarios, and test data
• Develop test automation scripts and respective configurations
• Participate in walk-through of testing procedures
• Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out
• Ensure that all testing related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures
• Collaborate with other team members
• Must be agile in his approach and ready to take up new challenges
• Sound knowledge about quality bug reporting and tracking
• Work closely with the development team to get things done

Skills Required (Primary)

• Good understanding of software test automation concepts and workflows
• Strong knowledge about OOPS concepts, Java and Selenium Web driver
• Must have test automation project experience with Page Object Model and TestNG framework
• Hands-on experience in designing and writing test automation scripts using test automation frameworks
• Should have experience with API Automation and Cucumber framework
• Should have mobile test automation experience using Appium
• Software test automation experience with JavaScript and/or Python framework(s) would be added advantage
• Should be good at documenting tests and test results
• Experience with manual testing or load testing will be an add-on.

Skills Required (Secondary)

• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
• Able to express work fluently and convince stack holders
• Exposure to any alternate testing method/type
