Job Summary

    JOB Description:

    • Microsoft SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications.
    • This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and sustainment of the SQL Server DB, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and performing data modeling in support of multiple development teams.
    • Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

    Skillset :

  • Installation and Configuration of SQL Server with industry best practices and applying Service Packs and Security patches for the Servers
  • Setup High-Availability as part Disaster Recovery Strategy for the Databases Configuring SQL Replication. SQL Always-ON and other HA technologies
  • Troubleshoot various problems that arise in a day-to-day work and fix the issues
  • Monitoring and Performance Tuning, Physical Server Level, Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning
  • Resolving SQL Server performance issues using Profiler, DMVs, Query Execution Plan Analysis and Perfmon
  • Monitoring the overall performance of the Database servers and recommending actions to improve/optimize performance
  • Troubleshooting deadlock, blocking and Long running queries
  • Proactive Monitoring on system wide and troubleshooting the issues
