Description:
We are looking for Senior Data Engineer to work hands-on with a Java application that consolidates multiple external data sources into a central warehouse for business consumption. The role will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions and ensure that you deliver high-quality code for our applications. The role will understand customer requirements and perform functions that include but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, maintenance, and operations. Candidate must be able to design and mentor other team members to ensure the implementation of the design accurately in the delivery of the application.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and build scalable, performant systems that ingest data from remote databases and files.
Enhance, build, test, deploy and support a data processing application that ingests healthcare data from multiple sources into an on-prem data warehouse
Develop and maintain orchestration pipelines
Support operational activities, monitor jobs, troubleshoot and resolve issues
Adopt modern technologies and practices like Git code management, test automation, application telemetry, monitoring and visualization
Build/maintain/enhance automation tools for development and CI-CD pipelines
Adopt and work with open source tools and frameworks
Document architecture, design and best practices
Work in an Agile team structure
Prioritize tasks and work concurrently on multiple tasks
Required Qualifications:
Experience in data engineering, software engineering and ETL
6+ years ETL, hand-on experience with Java, Scala or Python
6+ years of working with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) including stored procedures
5+ years with SpringBoot
Work in an Agile environment
Possess good communication skills
