Job purpose

As Programme Coordinator for child friendly villages (Bal Mitra Gram), you are primarily responsible for technical support to District administration government of Jharkhand based in Koderma, Jharkhand and smooth and effective execution of Project.

Job Description (Role Expectations)

The role will entail and not be restricted to the following responsibilities:

Ensure smooth implementation of programmes on Child Friendly Villages being executed in Close collaboration and coordination with Government

Supervise project staff in the project location and provide strategic direction to the team

Take the lead in forming a convergence of various departments in the district to ensure child protection.

Plan and organize meetings with government officials (block and district level) and regularly apprise them of KSCF s interventions.

Work closely with government officials at district and state level to ensure the project activities are executed jointly as per the timelines agreed

Prepare and submit project progress reports as per project requirements

Finalize monthly budgets for project delivery in accordance with approved project activities and budget

Oversee delivery of activities in accordance with prior-approved budgets

Identify need-based training of the staff in accordance with organizational policy and carry out appraisal based on agreed work plan.

Oversee financial monitoring of the project in association with the organisation s financial manual

Help the Director BMG implementation in the process of recruitment.

Ensure implementation of organizational policies in your projects

Ensure timely submission of attendance, bills, other documents from the field

Perform any other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Competencies for the role:

Energetic, enthusiastic and flair to work hard and achieve ambitious targets.

Proficient in MS office (MS word, excel and PPT), report writing, drafting emails, and good command over telephonic correspondences.

Good command on English and Hindi.

Education, Experience and Exposure

Education

o Advance degree in relevant discipline from institute/university of repute preferably covering social work as a topic of study

Experience & Exposure

o Minimum 8 years experience in child welfare/Child Rights/Child Protection and/or Community development with at least 6 years in people management role

o Professional experience of managing programs at local/regional levels

o Experience of working with senior officials of Government for collaborative efforts would be essential

o Experience of working in the geographies of South Bihar and Jharkhand

o Managerial Experience of handling multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams

o Professional experience of working in NGO s, CSO s, Foundations or business CSRs.

o Demonstrated ability to liaise, network and support advocacy efforts with government and alike stakeholders

o Local candidates will be preferred.
