Job Summary

What we are looking for:

The Associate, Content Review, is primarily responsible for managing tasks associated with journal submission, peer review process and services provided by the team up to the stage article is handed over to production. The person is responsible for ensuring our editors, authors and reviewers are effectively and efficiently supported in order to contribute to the growth and development of Wiley journals, using the specialist subject matter expertise gained through their academic backgrounds and by managing the Electronic Editorial Office platform and related tasks.

How you will make an impact:

  • Peer Review Management - Manage specific tasks associated with the peer review process from manuscript submission to articles being handed for production/typesetting, using best practice principles and effective time management practices.
  • Systems Management and Reporting - Maintain journal database and supporting documents to facilitate peer review, as applicable. Prepare accurate, regular reports to provide journal progress and performance overviews for internal/external clients as required or as agreed.
  • Subject Matter Expertise - Utilize academic background to support the creation of value-added ways of working that position Editors in Chief to perform their roles more effectively. Understand concept and context of the primary topic covered in the manuscript and provide overall assessment based on scholarly content in the manuscript.
  • Pilot Projects / Special Projects - Participate in proof-of-concept projects and findings reports in a timely manner within the stipulated timelines and framework
  • Working with Vendor Teams- Cascade information and Knowledge share and provide expertise
  • Who you are:

  • MSc in relevant field
  • 1-2 years in peer review management or manuscript re-writing services.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel is required
  • Ability to independently organize, execute, manage and track all assigned tasks
  • Excellent English language communication skills are a must
