SR. Merchandiser

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Managing the team at the designated location.
• Planning and developing merchandising strategies
• Collaborating with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales.
• Supervision of sample making, price negotiation, price confirmation, order
  confirmation.
• Maintaining both Sampling and Production Timelines.
• Keeping a check on the product quality and production control for timely order
  execution and delivery.
• Taking overall responsibility forinspections.
• Ensuring timely execution of shipments.
• Analysing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs.
• Forecasting profits and sales and optimising the sales volume and profitability
  of designated product areas.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge about woven & knit fabric.
• Must have good knowledge of Production, Product Development and CostingShould possess good communication skills.
• Senior Merchandisers must also have a keen eye for detail.

Qualification / Experience :

• Bachelor s degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field, such as Marketing/Textile/Garment technology.
• A Master s degree in a related filed will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience of 8 to 10 yrs in Fashion Merchandising.
