This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing company in the AWS ecosystem. This role is for a leader who will be responsible for building and growing the practice.
This position requires the ability to act as a Technical Manager - Data and Insights Practice (AWS). In this role, you will lead Data Analytics program in AWS ecosystem. This role will be leading teams of Data professionals, ranging from Engineers to Data Leads and require a strong background in functional / technical architecture combined with top-notch soft skills to foster successful client, partner and team relationships. You will be flexible to attend and support different time zone meetings and be willing to travel as per business needs. The ideal candidate will be highly technical and analytical, possessing about 10-15 years of Database and/or Analytics Systems development and deployment experience, IT systems and engineering experience, security and compliance experience.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Utilizing your strong background as a functional / technical Solution Architect with in-depth experience in portfolio transformations to develop customer and partner solutions
• Leading a team of (15- 25) Data Engineers
• Communicating with Stakeholders and C-suite Executives
• Hands-on solutioning with AWS Big Data and Analytics
• Understanding customer requirements and existing environments, and translating these into configurations in AWS that meet performance, scalability, and availability needs

• 10+ years of hands-on experience which includes:
  • Significant experience in software development and/or IT and implementation/consultingexperience functioning as a database, data warehouse, big data/analytics developer or administrator
  • Database and/or Analytics Systems development and deployment experience
  • IT systems and engineering experience
  • Security and compliance experience
• Very strong solutioning skills that include:
  • Design experience in large-scale, enterprise-wide systems, portfolio transformation initiatives
  • Working with client stakeholders to evaluate the solution requirements
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and existing environments, and translating these into configurations in AWS that meet performance, scalability, and availability needs
  • Defining and presenting solution architecture and project blueprints to clients, prospects, and partners
  • Advising customers on sizing, performance tuning and query optimization
• Extensive experience in:
  • Amazon Web Services, specifically: Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda etc
  • Big Data and Analytics: Tableau, Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc
  • Data security and IAM Roles/User Policies in AWS
  • AWS Cloud Formation and Cloud Watch and logs read/querying
  • Successful completion of at least 1 or 2 end-to-end Data Lake implementations on AWS
• Excellent knowledge / expertise in multiple of the following areas:
  • Working knowledge of modern software development practices and technologies such as agile methodologies and DevOps
  • Experience with AWS-based application development and cloud-based architectures such as micro-services
  • At a minimum, experience with modern web-based application development with services-based architectures
  • Track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of business environments such as large enterprises and start-ups
  • Maintain highest level of technical and market knowledge

• AWS Certification, eg. AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate/Professional

• Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Strong team and individual player
• Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature
• High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
• Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
• Demonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issues
