Responsibilities:-

  • Responsible for mapping business objectives to an optimum engineering structure, including correct estimation of resource allocation.
  • Responsible for key technical and product decisions.
  • Recruit, mentor and lead a large team of talented engineers to their full potential.
  • Regular round table meetings with the management, production, and marketing employees to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct projects to specific teams, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Oversee the technical scope of work and detailed design of projects, ensuring the ON TIME project delivery.
  • Should be in sync with the Product Manager and help them in getting relevant inputs from the engineering team
  • Representing the team in regularly held planning meetings to showcase the Engineering Team road map and it s plan of action.
  • Maintain a strong and up-to-date understanding of the challenges and opportunities your team is facing building and deploying software
  • Communicate clearly and honestly with internal and external stakeholders about progress, roadblocks, and timelines
  • Work closely with management to identify& forecast risks is any, solve internal problems, and maintain organic progress.
  • Participate in hiring and on-boarding of engineers, create and maintain employee roster plan, Valid and unbiased inputs for performance reviews and extend support to HR.


Desired Candidate Profile


Skills required :-

  • Domain expertise in Financial Services, Retail Banking or Payments
  • Hands-on experience of Microservices, Containers and such
  • Performance tuning & infrastructure sizing
  • Expertise in enforcing security across layers (client, transport, application)
  • Hands-on experience in setting up and configuring infrastructure on the Cloud


Desired Experience:-

  • Have experience leading an engineering team, either as an engineering manager or as a senior engineer/technical lead or similar.
  • Understand the product and project management space with Agile methodologies (Agile planning and delivering short release cycles)
  • Experience across the product development SDLC
  • Have technical ownership of all our product lines.
  • Foster innovation in the team to develop features that push our offerings well beyond those of our competitors.
  • Strong experience with RDBMS / NoSQL persistence stores
  • Hands-on knowledge of Spring Framework &Fair understanding of frontend technologies such as AngularJS
  • Prior to being in the technical management role, must have had strong development background and architected scalable systems that have gone live
  • Inspire engineers to work hard, leading by example and keeping enthusiasm high in tight-deadline situations.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, leadership, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
