Job Summary

About The Role

SAP Data Engineer will use a combination of SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BODS, and SAP HANA, along with a range of open-source technologies such as Python, Spark. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, solution architects, enterprise architects and application teams to develop data preparation and ingestion pipelines into enterprise data model and will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL processes using SAP BODS and SAP HANA
  • Work with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design solutions
  • Develop and maintain SAP BODS jobs and workflows
  • Develop and maintain data integration solutions using SAP BODS
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BODS processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all ETL processes and data integration solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are developed according to coding standards
  • Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

Experience: (5 to 8 years)

  • 4+ years of experience in SAP BODS & SQL
  • Hands-on experience with SAP DI or other similar ETL and data integration platforms such as IBM Datastage, Mulesoft, Informatica, SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI
  • Proficiency in any of SQL and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or SAP HANA
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Development of data ingestion pipelines and robust ETL frameworks. Implementation of data cleansing and data quality features in ETL pipelines/li>
  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries using joins, aggregates, set operators, window functions etc
  • Experience in analyzing data on large (terabytes) and complex (unstructured) datasets
  • Hands on experience parsing responses generated by API s (REST/XML/JSON)
  • Experience in using CI/CD techniques, DevOps/Git repository code promotion and release/change management
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python, including packages such as Pandas, NumPy

Nice to have

  • Developer/Architect certification(s)
  • SAP HANA, Information Steward
  • Experience in Kafka/RabbitMQ, JavaScript, SAP S/4 Hana
  • Hands-on coding experience in Python, including packages such as Pandas, NumPy
