Job Description
This is a remote position. Web Developer Location: Remote Work (India) About Intelehealth: Intelehealth is an international technology non-profit committed to improving access to primary health care in underserved regions of the world through its innovative technology platform. About the position: We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer who would involve customizing the web interface through its modular structure by developing a web application that communicates with a MySQL database over a REST-ful API. The position would involve front end development in AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Responsibilities: Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices Design the overall architecture of the web application. Implementation of a robust set of services using the OpenMRS APIs to power the web application Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability Implementation of security and data protection Translation of UI/UX wireframes to visual elements Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the web application Building reusable code and libraries for future use Integrate data from various back-end services and databases Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs Create and maintain software documentation Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities Requirements You have: Bachelors in computer science or a related field Minimum 2 years of work experience in web-based technology development. Experience in understanding of Git and other version controlling tools. Proficient in JavaScript, Angular 8, HTML, CSS, MySQL, REST APIs, Java Experience working with cloud hosted applications on AWS, Digital Ocean or other VPS providers Familiarity with Linux or other Unix based operating systems Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development Desirable Skills: Knowledge of node.js, AngularJS Prior experience working on open source projects is preferred Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
