ISS is growing! ISS seek a Sr. Software Engineer - UI/Java in Governance Team in Mumbai, India.
Overview
Purpose, mastery and autonomy! We provide all three at ISS where we are building state of the art proxy distribution and voting platforms, to help shareholder make key corporate decisions around the world. We're looking for a full-stack developer to help build our platforms using Java, SQL-Server/Oracle, Vue.JS, Spring, web services and UI frameworks. Responsibilities:
- Building our highly scalable applications that manipulate large datasets in seconds
- Developing rich user interfaces which incorporate complex business workflows.
- Play an active role in an agile team working on large web applications used by our business teams in addition to robust and scalable data exchange interfaces, data processors.
- Responsible for all phases of software development process from technical design and delivery estimates to implementation, testing, defect management and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Master s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 10 years of current software development experience.
- 4+ year of real industry experience with Java.
- 4+ year of real industry experience in developing REST APIs using Apache CXF/Spring .
- 2+ year experience building rich user interfaces using MVC frameworks, Vue.JS, React or AngularJS.
- 2+ year experience with MS SQL Server or Oracle.
- Great analytical, reasoning, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of HTML 5 and CSS 3.
- Knowledge of popular design patterns and Java frameworks
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
Good to have:
- Experience with macro services architecture and API managers.
- Experience with Eclipse, Visual Studio Code IDEs.
- Experience with SVN, and Maven/GitHub/Gradle.
- Experience with Jenkins/Hudson.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with Tomcat.
- Experience with JSF/ JSPs.
- Experience with Spring framework, batch processing.
- Familiarity with Automated testing and source code analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Splunk/Graylog tools.
