ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Deployment in a Hadoop cluster and its maintenance.
• - Administered the big data Hadoop clusters in Test and PRODUCTION environments
• - Health check of a Hadoop cluster monitoring whether it is up and running all the time.
• - Analyze the storage data volume and allocating the space in HDFS
• - Resource management in a cluster environment. This involves new node creation and removal of unused ones.
• - Managed the Hadoop cluster using Cloudera Manager
• - Configuring Name Node to ensure its high availability
• - Implementing and administering Hadoop infrastructure on an ongoing basis.
• - Disaster recovery and Backup activities
• - Performance tuning and benchmarking of Hadoop Cluster
• - Security integration of Hadoop Cluster using Kerberos
• - Involved in bench marking Hadoop HBase cluster file systems various batch jobs and workloads
• - Required hardware and software deployment in Hadoop environment. Furthermore, to expanding of existing environments.

• - Importing and exporting data from different databases like MySQL, Oracle RDBMS into HDFS and HBASE using Sqoop
