Overall responsibility for the project management team, providing insight to project management practices, training and oversight

Provide strategic consulting support and advise senior

Guide the PMO Leadership team to ensure compliance to program management standards

Provide thought leadership to program leaders and teams

Coordinate with senior management on program communication strategy

Strategically advise the IT Steering Committee on projects priorities, options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on other business processes and system priorities

Coordinate project administration, such as time tracking, meeting minutes, and key initiative reporting

Proactively identify issues concerning technical limitations and key product requirements

Partner with Application leads as there is joint responsibility with the lead systems manager to provide technical oversight to ensure business requirements are met, monitor project plans, manage budgets, align resources, and project delivery

Analyze business needs and work with project sponsors to propose and deliver cost effective solutions

Manage executive expectations and collaborate with them in order to acquire any necessary information and direction on their projects

Assign project managers and or other resources to projects or programs

Provide transparent frequent updates to manage reasonable expectations of the enterprise, and to keep all stakeholders informed of the progress of all projects

Provide training and development opportunities and serve in a mentoring role for the team

Manage an operating budget and responsible for subordinate salaries

Gathers feedback on the Portfolio Management process and works with process owner to proposes updates and improvements

Provides training and communications on the Portfolio management process

Works with assigned staff to understand, document, and process project demand into a central location.

Works with assigned staff to build out long term planning view of business-driven initiatives and within enterprise demands

Assesses best practices, tools, and techniques for project portfolio management

Lead multiple cross functional teams on high impact / high complexity business improvement and process redesign effort, guide teams to the desired solution and then communicate solution to key stakeholders

Extensive experience planning and deploying business or IT initiatives

Business process analysis, planning and improvement expertise
-
Exceptional communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization (this includes written, verbal and visual communications)

Minimum of 10 years of project management experience supporting large scale enterprise projects
-
Has advanced knowledge of the program and project management methodologies; knowledge of both waterfall and agile development methodologies
-
Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
-
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, with strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate without guidance
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change
-
Exposure to a customer-focused, high-end services business model and past experience leveraging process improvement efforts to deliver a differentiated customer experience
-
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines and working with all facets of IT infrastructure and IT operations.

Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate agreements; able to propose innovative solutions while balancing impacts to scope, schedule and cost

Experience managing software and implementation partners inclusive of contract management and team management

Presentation and reporting materials, tools, and delivery experience
