Job Summary:

The Build Configuration Manager is responsible for the deployment, which includes operating the defined and agreed process and ensuring that it interfaces with all other relevant processes with minimal downtime. He or she also has to review the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, perform process audits, and manage the process improvement cycle. In addition, the Build Configuration Manager also enforces proper versioning across different systems and champions the continuous integration cycle and its automation.

Job Description:

The roles and responsibilities of the Build Configuration Manager include the following:

Communicating the changes in the processes and promoting the same within and across teams

Managing and controlling the source code repository, as well as managing merges, branches, and tagging

Coordinating initial identification of CIs within the sections of the department

Suggesting and applying continuous improvements to the build-test-release process

Adhering to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies

Desired Skills and Experience:

EducationBCA/MCA/BTech/BE (any specialization)

Experience5+ years of experience in implementing CM and CI best practices

Experience with continuous deployment processes

Understanding of an artifact manager/repository: Maven, Ant, or Ivy (currently Indegene uses Ant and Maven)

Experience in helping developers use SCMs correctly

Experience with CI server (Jenkins/Hudson)

Hands-on experience with Linux and Oracle

Self-driven and display leadership skills

Skilled in problem identification and problem solving

Strong organization and planning skills

Attention to detail

Ability to operate comfortably in a multitask/multipriority environment

Ability to work under pressure to meet agreed deadlines

Passion, energy, and enthusiasm to drive results

B.Tech/B.E.,M.C.A
Experience Required :
