Msds Authoring Specialist || Job Location-mohali in Ids Infotech Ltd

Currently we are hiring for Authoring Specialist for our EHS business vertical at Mohali. Initially work from home will be there during this COVID Situation.

1) Looking for candidates with proven experience of MSDS Authoring who understand how to classify Chemical products as per GHS and also have in depth understanding of CLP.

2) The candidates also must have experience with regional adaptations of GHS

Position: Authoring Specialist

Essential Qualification

• Minimum Bachelors degree in science related field. Masters or PhD preferred
• SDS Author with 3-5 years SDS Authoring experience
• Working knowledge of authoring regulations in more than one region ( i.e. US OSHA, Canadian WHMIS, EU CLP/REACH).
• Moderate knowledge of an SDS authoring platforms (i.e. SAP, 3E Generate, and/or WERCS)
• Working knowledge in one or more transportation regulations
• Good analytical and written communication skills
• Solid knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to speak, read/write English fluently

Job Description

• Prepare GHS chemical regulatory classifications for various global authorities ( such as UN, EU, US, Japan, China, and Korea etc.) for both substance and mixture level material
• Prepare SDS documents primarily utilizing the client SDS authoring platform
• Research hazards and properties of components to make appropriate SDS classification for global regulations
• Determine appropriate Hazard Assessments and SDS phrases based on assessment
• Ability to classify under at least 2 classification schemes (i.e. UN Purple book, EU CLP, US OSHA, and/or Canadian WHMIS)
• Review completed SDSs for quality assurance purposes
• Capable of Working independently to assess product compositions or chemical formulations to applicable country regulations
• Flexible work timings as per client requirements
