  • 5+ years related industry experience
  • Good experience in the following tech stack:
    • Apache Hadoop
    • Apach Spark Streaming and Batch Jobs
    • HBase
    • HDFS
    • UC4
    • Hive
    • kafka
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java
  • Very good knowledge of Core Java and should have worked on high availability, low latency platforms.
  • Ability to question status quo and identify bad design/code patterns which can impact performance and maintainability of the code.
  • Scripting Languages (Shell, Python, Perl) would be a plus
  • Experience in the Spring framework, developing robust RESTful services would be a plus.
  • Database design and optimization. (Oracle/MySQL) would be a plus.
  • Excellent understanding of system design and design patterns.
  • Experience with using git.
  • Previous experience with the Agile methodology.
  • Have very good communication skills
