Job Summary

A Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for designing and developing robust and extensible product functionality for the most complex components of a product/application. He or she serves as a role model for the other technical contributors on the team, which often includes having specific responsibility for coaching and leading a sub-team of 4-6 developers in the form of design reviews, code reviews, and process encouragement. Responsibilities: A Technical Delivery Manager will deliver the most complex and valuable components of an application on time and to specification as a key member of a product or delivery team. He or she is expected to do so by making balanced technical decisions (e.g., design trade-offs, prioritization, etc.) as a leader on his or her team. These decisions must reflect an expertise in applying the appropriate technical/theoretical knowledge within the context of the customers business requirements. Responsible for demonstrating an understanding of and the ability to articulate the business value delivered by his/her products. Responsible for accurately scheduling, tracking and providing complete and accurate sizing and scoping estimates for the purposes of release planning. Responsible for supporting the delivery team in deploying product functionality to customers (e.g., answers questions, explains functionality, extends API, provides code reviews, etc.) and for working with the Senior Technical Manager to make the best deployment architecture decisions. Responsible for recognizing inconsistencies (e.g., scope, resources, feasibility, usability, customer value, etc.) in product requirements and for making suggestions for the resolution of such issues.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering or Computer Engineering degree from a top university such as IIT, NIT, BITS,MCA(Pune) 8+years of experience, working hands on with C++, Java, J2EE, enterprise class databases (ideally in developing business applications). Should have demonstrated proficiency in more than one of these technologies and demonstrated expertise in at least one technology Extensive experience writing complex algorithms is a must Should have contributed valuable components to organizational intellectual capital (e.g., technology insights and solutions, patent applications, and templates for methodologies) at his or her current company Strong written and verbal communication skills. Greater than 2 years of leadership experience at the team level
