The Opportunity: (Brief Overview of the Role)

Primary responsibility is to provide support on the database technology, ensuring customer delight as per the defined size, effort and schedule confirming to quality standards and best practices. Maintain and improve SLAs and ensure compliance to HSBC policies at all times. Actively participate to achieve organization objectives for efficiency.

Perform pro-active analysis on day-to-day work to obtain automation on deliveries thereby reducing repetitive and standardised tasks/processes.

What youll do: (List out Key Responsibilities)

Provide the technical support within the agreed Service Levels

o Troubleshooting and fixing incidents

o Creating / altering / dropping tablespaces

o Database backup / restore

o Data Archival activities

o Database space management

o Implementing releases / service requests

o Creating generic application accounts/ granting permissions

o Locking / unlocking generic application accounts

o Server monitoring including health checks at server level and database level

o Keeping the systems up and running clean

o Timely escalation of issues to Team Lead or appropriate channel

Meet the delivery standards as per the agreement that includes quality of deliverables, documentation

Status communication and timely reporting

Interact with application teams and other infrastructure teams

Maintain support records such as incident resolutions

Participate in crisis calls as per guidelines from senior members of the team

Demonstrate ownership, commitment, and sense of urgency to production incidents

Upgrade technical knowledge consistently

What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

Actively participate for ITID strategic initiative to Run ITID as a Globally Managed Function

Participate in crisis calls as applicable

Participate in identifying problem situations and resolve to give maximum customer satisfaction

Demonstrate analytical and problem management skills

Solve problems laterally with in-time information to line manager

Adhere to database standards, policies, and procedures
